I will like to know what is the best and most affordable one way link program out there ?
submitting your site manually to some free Press release sites.
I think this is crazy.
Is the only way to get higher ranking is by back linking?
They want me to spend hundreds of hours begging people to exchange links with my site. make sure they are relevant.. Whats that going to prove? I know people buy them somehow. Is there just a better way?
Yes, pagerank is all about who is linking to your site — the more a website is considered an "authority" the better for you. From the Google webmaster pages explaining pagerank http://www.google.com/technology/
——————————————-
PageRank Explained
PageRank relies on the uniquely democratic nature of the web by using its vast link structure as an indicator of an individual page’s value. In essence, Google interprets a link from page A to page B as a vote, by page A, for page B. But, Google looks at considerably more than the sheer volume of votes, or links a page receives; for example, it also analyzes the page that casts the vote. Votes cast by pages that are themselves "important" weigh more heavily and help to make other pages "important." Using these and other factors, Google provides its views on pages’ relative importance.
——————————————-
Google does not expect you to spend hundreds of hours begging for people to exchange links with your site. What they want are "natural linking patterns" where a site naturally links to you because your site has GREAT CONTENT, and not as a result of some manipulation of the system.
People do buy links — but Google is now penalizing sites that sell these text links. Scammers and spammers may be a step ahead of Google, but the search engines do catch up — and when they do, they can wreak havoc on the site. In this case, if you sell text link for pagerank purposes, you can expect to see your Google traffic fall down drastically, if not totally removed from the Google database.
Don’t think of sending thousands of links. Instead focus on building great, useful content that your visitors will want and search engines will love. It is not a hard concept at all … except for those who want a shortcut to everything, including Google rankings

I’ve got a PR 7 some PR 5’s and 4’s and I bought a place in a 200 site linking deal. Whats going to happen to my PR? Up or down?
I actually did something similar to what you’re doing and got kicked out of google’s index for it. The problem with the program you are using is that only a few of the links will be related to what you do at your website. The other problem is that all of those links will have the same anchor text and description, which will tell the search engines directly that you are trying to cheat the system. If you are going to buy text links, do it from a site that lets you choose every individual link you purchase and that you can ensure that it is in your industry.
I have heard that Google will kick your website out of its search engine if you do cross-linking. Where you own different domain names and then link them to each other to boost pagerank.
I have a new website, and I want to put a one way link from the old one to the new one. Both are different domain names, and I own them both. I don’t want any trouble with Google though.
Any suggestions from an SEO person?
Google won’t penalize you for something like this as long as it isn’t excessive. If you are talking about cross linking 2 or 3 domains that are related businesses then you are ok. If you were talking about dozens of sites then you’d have to look at hosting them with different web hostings. The thing is, are you asking whether you should cross link the old site to the new site. Do you mean that you are migrating your content to the new site and eliminating the old one? If this is the case, then you should consider setting up a 301 redirect.
Another SEO Rapper video….talking about links and how they increase your page rank. lyrics:
Chuck back again so tell me what you thank,
new song new dance I call it the Page Rank,
so you want to get the listing,
in the top position,
if you pay attention I can show you how to get it,
start with your content, I done said it before,
250 words per page and you good to go,
add headers and titles,
cross links are vital,
make it easy to read use list items,
keyword rich is how its meant to be,
make sure you have good keyword density,
double check your navigation make sure your links function,
by order of importance I call it link sculpting,
unique meta information for all the pages,
trying to make sure you cover all the bases,
all text links should include keyphrases,
make sure you put the links in the right places,
inbound links are what you should be chasing,
great content and good link baiting,
make people link to the site you created,
to do that you gotta have great information,
I’m a tell you something else that works wonders,
Yahoo directory it cost 300
if you a dealer get links from distributors,
if you provide a service get content contributors,
it always helps to get links from manufacturers,
your links should always be adding not subtracting,
link quality is better than link quantity,
get valuable links thats a good link policy,
some people swap links I don’t recommend it,
others buy links well I wouldn’t spend it,
keyword stuffing is not a good practice,
if you doing that you’ll get stuck like a cactus,
do it the right way and be enthusiastic,
and over time your results will be fantastic,
pay attention class,
you need to act fast,
make a mad dash to the first instead of last,
take out your competition like trash,
and watch your page rank raise higher than gas…

actually I have target of getting 50 one way links with relevent sites only. is it possible.also I ahve limitation not to use directory for geting one way links. can any body help me plz .
Many sites these days provide sponsored links. You basically pay a bit of money to get linked to from their site. There are also various open source projects that will accept donations and provide a link to your site (e.g. Moodle). You could donate to any of those that are relevant to your site.
Another option is forums that allow links in your signature. You can post forum messages and have the link included in the message itself. Depending on how you’re counting links, you could do 50 in a single forum.
Another option is to create 50 Sqiudoo pages that link to your site. Again, it depends on how you’re counting links.
Create a Blogger blog and link to your site. Repeat with a Wordpress.com blog, and work your way through all the free blogging sites out there. Just make sure the blog you create is relevant to your site.
Now if what you want is 50 links from 50 different high PR relevant sites that will get you targeted traffic, I’d have to say you’re limited to buying sponsored links.
I’m trying to get indexed as fast as possible. I have a lot of weaker links but I’m looking for PR 4+ sites. If anyone knows a site willing to do link exchange or if any webmaster would link exchange with me I would really appreciate it.
The blog is http://matthewcorgan.blogspot.com/
Info – It has been around 3-4 months and has a lot of weaker one way backlinks already.
What you really need to do is contact other blog writers in your niche. Ask them to check out your website and hopefully they will find it interesting enough to link to you. Don’t just ask them for a link, this might turn them off enough that they’ll not even visit your site at all.
The other best thing you can do is submit your best blog posts to stumbleupon, digg, and other social media websites.
But what you will most want to consider is getting your website on your own domain and hosting service. It can be hard to rank a subdomain on blogspot. Get a keyword in your domain name as well.
